I’m finding more and more in my client work that the DAM may be a hub, but the spokes around it are how it stays successful. How do you connect to the email platform? Who knows how to use the assets on the corporate website? When do you need to refresh the marketing campaign photos?
It’s all connected - and so is the current job market. So many skills are transferable, with a different product that you could learn using those skills. The interviews I’ve started conducting (and will share soon!) on the DAM career path have enlightened me on how many of us have dipped into other areas of MarTech - either in defined roles or as part of the scope-creep of purportedly DAM jobs.
